Synopsis
A little boy makes a snowman and goes back to sleep in the comfort of his blankets.
What would happen if the snowman comes to life? What would he say?
I was still
when you carved my mouth.
I did not move
when you used a carrot
to make my nose.
I came to life
when you made my eyes
with coal and pebbles.
You did not see me
wink and roll my eyes.
You hurried away
as I froze in the cold.
I imagined you under warm blankets
as night's cold breeze
ravaged my tiny new heart.
I fear the wind;
I fear the ferocious birds.
If they peck my eyes out,
I will cease to live
for my eyes are my means to live.
Oh! Little boy, take me home
I want to see the spring colours
I want to see the autumn fall
I want to feel the summer showers
I want to feel warm within
Oh! Little boy, take me home
I want to live
I want to live
