The Red-headed Boy
Reader Star Rating:
This poem was written for my new Great Grandson who has red hair.
A red-headed boy I once did see
His big blue eyes stared back at me,
Skin kind of pale and cheeks of rose
With the cutest little turned-up nose.
Sitting by his side I offered a smile
He giggled and I did linger a while,
Then told him my name was Daisy Lou
He eventually told me his name too.
Even though he was sweet, I didn't stay
The look he had when walking away,
Let me know that this was not the end
The red-headed boy would soon be a friend.
