SYNOPSIS
This is a poem about a Field Mouse
Deep in the wood
Where the acorns fall
And the ash tree sheds its berry
The tall green grass is where I'll be
So quiet, and so tiny
The winter chill
Will send me to
My secret little den
And when the summer
Comes once more
I'll peep at you again
The tall tree roots
Will hide my fur
And my nose will twitch in silence
As I nibble on the fallen fruits
And wash my silken whiskers
My home is where green moss springs
Beneath the falling shadows
And sunny meadows will be mine
Until the darkness calls it's time.
