Hello to you and truly big swallow-you-up yawns
I'm very excited. All I do is waahay and whahoo
But it's a bit tiring being awake from dawn
Running all over the house loop-da-loop
I don't want to eat my dinner but there's no rumbly tum
I don't have homework. Good, I can't concentrate
I'm here, there and everywhere. Mum's dizzy, poor Mum!
I've taken to grinning and swinging on the garden gate
But it's another eight days until we go away
That feels like forever until from home we say goodbye
Off to Gran and Gramps house for a vacation-holiday
I've packed my suitcase already. I'm super ready to say hi!
Dad says at this rate I'll be a puffed out mini pest
He thinks that next week I'll be a teeny weeny grump
Tired and so full of yawns that I won't behave at my best
But I don't care that I can't stop doing arm pumps
I don't mind that he thinks that I'll be a pernickety pain
I'm eager, so very keen. Come on clock, tick faster please
I'm so full of jumping beans. I can't wait to see them again
The tickets have arrived, eight days to go. Lucky lucky me!
