What a funny name for a cat like me,
But, I am a cat as you can see,
I'm tall and long, and fluffy all over,
I like to run and jump in the clover.
When I was small and a tiny kitten,
I looked like a bear and a soft puffy mitten,
All creamy yellow with golden eyes,
My family thought I was a cute little prize.
I grew up long lean and sleek,
Deep down inside I am mild and meek,
The family I have is all that I need,
I'm Bear, a cat of a different breed.
Sometimes I think that human I am,
With a name like Chester, Frank or Sam,
When they call Bear for sure I know,
I will go with them wherever they go.
It is alright to have the name Bear,
Maybe some cats do not really care,
But to be proud of my name is on my mind,
So you see for a cat, I am one of a kind.
I am a cat named Bear.
