Roasted turkey, roasted pheasants,
Christmas is here with lots of presents.
Fizzy drinks and mince pies,
Little children with wide open eyes.

The room is filled with Christmas cheer,
Looks like Dad's having his first beer.
Mum likes to have a small glass of sherry,
I do think they like, to get a bit merry.

Children's Story: by

The Christmas tree looks wonderful, it's beautiful décor,
The presents lay under it, piled on the floor.
The candles are lit, the tinsel does shine,
Oh no! Grandma's having another glass of wine.

Children's Story: by

Don't forget the reindeer and good old Santa Claus,
For in the hearth the log fire burns, it crackles and it roars.
It's so cozy, it's so warm and very, very inviting,
Everything about Christmas is also very exciting.

Children's Story: by

Carol singers are singing, out in the street,
That lovely aroma of roasting, sizzling tasty meat.
It's almost time for dinner, so we all take our place,
But don't you forget to say, a special thank you grace.

Children's Story: by

The fairy lights twinkle they sparkle and they glow,
Look outside the window it's started to snow.
Dad brings out the Christmas cake, he looks just like a waiter,
But everyone is so stuffed, we will have to eat it later.

Children's Story: by

It's been a wonderful day, all full of fun,
But sadly it is ending, it's almost over and done.
I look at the angel with her glittering wings,
And think that these are, the most Christmassy of things.
