SYNOPSIS
A small mouse celebrates Christmas in his own special way.
A mouse peeked out of his small hole
and said, "It's Christmas, bless my soul.
I think that cat will sleep all day,
so that I can come out and play."
It was early, all were in bed,
so he sneaked out for some corn bread.
To Santa's cookies, next he'd look
and there a great big bite he took.
He found a long-lost cracker crumb;
with throes of hunger overcome.
The kitty's kibbles smelled just great,
but that was too much tempting fate.
He thought he'd climb the Christmas tree,
so he could see what he could see.
A star was sitting at the top;
he gave a swat and watched it drop.
A shiny ball then caught his eye,
He knocked it down, so calm and sly.
The tinsel, all so shiny, bright;
it tasted bad with his first bite.
Then, fin'lly, when he'd had his fun
and Christmas day was almost done,
he curled up 'neath the tall pine tree
and fell asleep with dreams of brie.
