Pumpkin, pumpkin not too wise,
To be made into bars and pies,
How you haunted me in dreams,
For tasty bite with whipping cream.
My mom, (to me) has always said,
"I'll bake us up some pumpkin bread",
It's not the same, why can't you see,
I want a pumpkin PIE for me!
On Christmas Eve was I surprised,
A treasure trove before my eyes,
My prayers were answeredGlory Be!
There sat a pie beneath the tree!
