SYNOPSIS

Two creatures that are very different in character have fun and become good friends.

Children's Story: by

One day a little puppy was playing outside his home when all of a sudden a playful caterpillar crawled onto his tail.
"Hey, let's go to the small stream and see what we can do." the caterpillar suggested.
"OK," replied the puppy, "let's go."

The puppy ran so fast that the small caterpillar had to hold on for dear life.
Yelling "yippee yippee" they finally reached the small stream.
The puppy wagged his tail very quickly and the caterpillar flew off; yelling "Weeeee" and into the stream he went.
They both started playing and having fun.

"Can you climb a tree?" asked the caterpillar.
"No? Can you fly?" asked the caterpillar.
"No, why, because I am a puppy all I can do is jump." replied the puppy.
He jumped, showing the caterpillar how high he could jump.
"And I can swim." He jumped into the water and swam in circles.
"I can also play catch." He caught a small twig in his mouth as it floated by.

"Wow, that is a lot more than I can do; until I turn into a butterfly, then I will be able to fly.
"Wow cool."
"Yeah, I guess in our own way we are both cool."
They both laughed.

The little puppy took the caterpillar back home and they played together till night time.
Both couldn't wait for the caterpillar to turn into a beautiful butterfly and then they could have even more fun.
They became best friends forever.
